Dave Pomeroy

Dave Pomeroy was born on April 26 1956 in Italy and spent his childhood in various places. In mid 70s Dave Pomeroy moved to London and played in numerous bands. In 1977 Dave moved to Nashville and started playing with Sleepy LaBeef (rockabilly musician). In period between 1980 and 11994 Dave played with Don Williams. As a session musician Dave Pomeroy recorded albums for Don Williams, LaBeef, Trisha Yearwood, Toby Keith, Emmylou Harris, billy Ray Cyrus, Neil Diamond, George Jones, Tom Paxton, Jon Randal, Shelby Lynne, Billy Joe Shaver, Brenda Lee, Alan Jackson, Gretchen Peters, Earl Scruggs, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Randy Scruggs, Alison Moorer, Duane Eddy, Steve Wariner, Asleep at The Wheel, Kathy Mattea, Larry Knechtel, Matraca Berg, Keith Whitley, Jesse Winchester, Alison Krauss, Raul Malo, Rob Ickes, Pat Flynn…

Dave’s latest projects are Three Ring Circle (acoustic jam band powergrass trio with rob Ickes and Andy Leftwich) and Taproom Tapes (live recording with Pat Bergeson, Jeff Coffin, Johnny Neel).

In December 2008 Dave was elected president of the Nashville based Local 257 of the American Federation of Musicians. Before him long time president was Harold Bradley. Dave becomes more active in union work. In June 2010 Dave Pomeroy was elected to the International Executive Board of the AFM.
